Dear Coastal Lacrosse Families,
As we look back at a great third year of lacrosse with our Coastal family, we begin to look forward to our 4th season in the spring of 2012.
Our 2011 season was filled with fun family activities like dodge ball, the end of year party and a great season of games. Last year we registered 149 boys and girls and fielded teams at every age level. We welcomed lots of new families and players in 2011. Games were played against Brandywine, Cecil, Fruitland, Middletown, Milford, Newark, Atlantic, Talbot, ChurchHill, Severna Park and Havre de Grace. Playdays were the hit of the season with several teams meeting at one location and playing multiple games throughout the day. On May 1st, Coastal hosted a play day that included teams from 7 different clubs with a total of 53 games being played. Everyone got lots of playing time and a good time was had by all!! One longtime official stated, "it was the most successful day of youth lacrosse he had seen on the shore in his 20 plus years of experience." We hope to host even more of these type of play days in the future!
As we move into Fall 2011 and Winter 2012, Coastal has many upcoming events being planned. We will begin our fall drop-in Sunday clinics in October, host a Family Dodge Ball Event, enter both boys and girls teams into the Crown indoor league and host our 4th Annual High Tide Fundraiser at Seacrets. Indoor registration will begin in November with 2012 outdoor Season registration beginning December 1, 2011.
As a family-run organization, we always welcome input from the families of Coastal Lacrosse. We welcome your thoughts and ideas and would love to see all of our families involved in our board, our events and our organization. Volunteers are always welcome!! A special Thanks to all of you who have helped our organization be so successful.
